What Inspires the Work
At the heart of my practice lies a deep fascination with human emotions, their intensity, fragility, and transformative power. I am equally inspired by nature, with its serenity, resilience, and ever-changing beauty. In my paintings, these influences intertwine with supernatural beings and surreal forms, creating images that blur the boundaries between humanity, the natural world, and the unseen. This fusion allows me to reflect emotions that feel haunting yet tender, vulnerable yet powerful, and always deeply human.
My Journey
I’ve been creating art ever since I was a child, it has always been my most natural form of expression. Over the last four years, I have pursued my practice professionally, shaping my voice through both portraiture and abstraction.
My academic background in psychology with a Master’s in Psychology Research provides strong foundation for the themes I explore in my art. By day, I support young people and children with special needs and mental health struggles. This role brings me profound joy and constant inspiration.
Working alongside these young people, I witness resilience, vulnerability, and creativity every day. Often, I use art as a tool to help them process their emotions, and in turn, I learn from their courage and imagination. These experiences not only enrich my personal growth but also infuse my paintings with authenticity and empathy.
The Work Itself
My visual language combines expressive brushwork, vivid colour, and atmospheric intensity. Rather than striving for realism, I aim to capture the essence of emotion. My portraits and abstract paintings embody longing, love, fear, joy, and transformation—emotions that connect us all. By merging humanity with natural and surreal imagery, I create works that are both intimate and otherworldly.
An Invitation
Whether you are a collector, a gallery, or someone who simply resonates with the work, I hope my art offers a space for reflection and connection. My wish is that each piece allows you to find fragments of your own journey—your own joys, your own struggles, your own growth—woven into the canvas.
Art surrounds every part of my life: in my own creations, in the young people I work with, and in the passion I share with others. Whether through collecting, exhibiting, or simply experiencing the work, thank you for being part of this journey.
